A simple design exercise to get back to basics and pay homage to various influences over the years. I find company logos from various fictional universes, recreate them in Illustrator and put them up in Instagram. It started as a quick way to find inspiration by stepping into the shoes of other designers. Retracing their steps usually only takes thirty minutes to an hour but it’s always an education.
